[1] IRMA report: helping patients navigate and understand complex genetic results
IRMA (Immunological Reproductive Multifactor Assessment) Report is a 30-page document that assesses a couple’s likelihood of a successful birth.
The project was developed in collaboration with the information design agency The Visual Agency↗ for Pregmune↗, a reproductive health technology company.
The report was designed as a compact, patient-focused tool that contextualizes complex medical data while reflecting the depth of the investigation.
One of the key concerns guiding the project was the need to communicate with clarity and empathy—avoiding triggering language or visuals and acknowledging the sensitivity of the subject matter.
Particular focus was placed on the opening radial overview, which conveys the global likelihood of a successful birth and highlights the most relevant contributing parameters. (All data shown in the images is fictional.)
A few pages of Pregmune's IRMA report, structured for patients.
Two initial visualizations, aimed at giving an overview of the report structure and findings.
Structure of exam boxes, whose coherence helps maintain navigable the complex document.
Radial visualization containing sensitive information such as the global likelihood of pregnancy and the key contributing factors to such evaluation.
Two examples of custom diagrams, intended to make complex relationships between genetic factors more approachable.
Repeated visualizations that are used to display the impact of specific genetic mutations and the values of lab results within relevant intervals.
